Points of Interest

Ohlone College

A strong supporter of the community, their Fremont and Newark campuses bring fabulous community college instruction.


What you see here today is the hard work of many individuals and their contributions can be seen in the different halls. What originally began as a rescue mission has turned into one of the fastest growing (and largest) museums in Fremont.


The Museum is the result of the desire of MPHF (Mission Peak Heritage Foundation) and WTHS (Washington Township Historical Society) to have a permanent place to display historical artifacts each collected over...


Patterson House & Ardenwood Historic Farm

George Washington Patterson came west in 1849 to seek his fortune in the goldfields of California. Instead he "struck gold" in the fertile farm fields of southern Alameda County, and it is still a functioning, working farm.


Groups making a differenct

Fremont began as 5 townships that in 1956 formed our City. Business Associations still work to maintain the vibrancy of those idividual historic districts and along with other organizations make Fremont a great place to live.


Centerville Business & Community Association (CBCA)

Some form of the Centerville Business Association has been meeting since 1909. The organization was formalized as a business association in 1983. Centerville Business Association is a not for profit organization dedicated to promoting the economic and social welfare of the Centerville District of the City of Fremont.


Irvington Business Association (IBA)

The Irvington Business Association exists to foster growth and development in the Irvington District.  By focusing our efforts in our own backyards, we hope that surrounding neighborhoods, communities, districts, and the City at large will benefit from our actions.

Mission San Jose Chamber of Commerce (MSJCoC)

The Chamber was organized in 1909. Early projects included establishing a free library, rehabilitating the fire department, securing 20 street lights for the town, sponsoring clean-up days, and working to restore the mission


Niles Main Street Association

The Niles Main Street Association is a non-profit, community organization devoted to historic preservation and economic revitalization of the historic commercial and residential Niles district of Fremont, California.


Fremont Chamber of Commerce

Committed to supporting and enhancing a positive business environment, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce is an association of nearly 1,000 businesses who employ over 40,000 people.

Since 1964, the Fremont Symphony Orchestra has brought live, classical music to the San Francisco Bay Area. Shaped by the nuanced artistry of the premier Guest Conductor Series, FSO delights audiences and enriches the quality of life in the communities it serves.

Stage 1 theatre

Stage 1 Theatre is a non-profit community theatre group located in Newark, California. Stage 1 has been performing works of musical theatre, comedy, and drama in the greater San Francisco Bay Area for more than 28 years.



StarStruck Theatre is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of youth and our community by providing theatre arts education, performance opportunities, and musical productions of uncompromising quality.



Broadway West Theatre was founded in 1997 to provide quality theatre in a pleasant, friendly atmosphere for an affordable price. The historic building, Clark's Hall in Fremont, has been the home of Broadway West for over 20 years.
